Lakeland Veterinary Hospital is here to treat the dogs and cats of Baxter, MN, and surrounding areas. Our hospital is a full-service AAHA-accredited facility, and we practice low-stress handling techniques with all of our patients. Our services include wellness exams, sick visits, vaccinations, boarding, grooming, microchipping, health and travel certificates, nutrition and weight management, behavioral counseling, hospice, euthanasia, laser therapy, x-ray, ultrasound, in-house lab, genetic testing, parasite testing and prevention, pet dental, pet surgery including spay and neuter, mass and foreign body removal, oncology surgery, pain management, and more! Dr. Deb Piepgras
DVM, Hospital Director, and OwnerDegrees She received her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine Degree from the University of Minnesota in 2000. She is also 'Fear Free' Certified! Areas of Interest Dr. Deb Piepgras is the owner of LVH. Deb grew up in Brainerd and graduated from Brainerd High School. She has been back in Brainerd & practicing veterinary medicine since June of 2000. Her favorite aspect of veterinary medicine is the challenge of aiding sick and injured animals that cannot communicate their problems. She spends any spare time with her husband two children, dogs and the variety of outdoor activities that the area has to offer. In her spare time, Dr. Piepgras enjoys working in her many gardens, quilting, reading, camping, fishing and hunting. Pets She has 3 Dogs; Oberyn, a Shepherd Mix and Arya and Oscar, both Long-haired Miniature Dachshunds.

DVMDegrees Meet Dr. Erica! She joined our team at Lakeland in January 2017! She Graduated with her DVM from Washington State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 2013. Areas of Interest Dr. Erica is from St. Joseph, MN and is excited to move back to Lake Country as she enjoys the many outdoor activities: boating, fishing, camping and hiking. She enjoys spending time with her husband, son and large extended family. She loves traveling and exploring new places and trying new foods. The best part of veterinary medicine for Dr. Erica is helping to support the human-animal bond that is central to people and their companions. She enjoys preventive medicine, internal medicine, infectious/zoonotic disease and pain management. Dr. Kelly
DVMDegrees Meet Dr. Kelly! She graduated with her DVM from Iowa State University in 2015. She also has a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from University of Wisconsin-Madison. Areas of Interest Dr. Kelly grew up on a small family dairy farm in South Central WI. She and her Fiance. Ryan, have recently moved to the Brainerd area. Dr. Kelly enjoys anything that brings her outside-from hiking, hunting, and fishing, to softball or sitting by a campfire. Her favorite aspects of veterinary practice included the variety that every day brings and getting to know pets and their humans! Dr. Kelly has recently taken an interest in canine agility and has started training with her dog Bucky. She is excited for the opportunity to continue their training in the Brainerd area. Dr. Eryn Christian
DVMDr. Eryn is an Associate Veterinarian at Lakeland Veterinary Hospital. She has a Bachelor of Biomedical Science degree and a Masters degree in Cellular and Molecular Biology from Saint Cloud State University. She graduated with her Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine from Saint Georges University in 2024. Eryn is Fear Free Certified in small animals, avians, and exotics. Her areas of interest in veterinary medicine include soft tissue surgery, internal medicine, and exotic animal medicine. Eryn enjoys working with owners to keep their furry, feathered, or scaly family members happy and healthy. Dr. Eryn was born and raised in Brainerd, MN, sharing her home with her wonderful husband Josh, lovable lab Reagan and two kitties Ralphie and Baby Kitty. She loves spending time outdoors with Josh and Reagan. She also enjoys attending community events such as the Nisswa turtle races, Sertoma Christmas lights, and Craft Fairs.
